Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong Met with Editor of the Daily Graphic and Editor of The Ghanaian Times

On 8th and 15th November, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong met with editors of Ghana’s mainstream newspapers, Mr. Ransford Tetteh from the Daily Graphic and Mr. David Agbenu from The Ghanaian Times, and donated a number of office alliances to the two newspapers. Political Counselor Mr. Jiang Zhouteng attended the meeting.

Ambassador Sun pointed out that the Daily Graphic and The Ghanaian Times maintained close cooperation with the Embassy, shared commitment to introducing a real China and China-Ghana relations to the Ghanaian people, and made great contribution to consolidating China-Ghana traditional friendship. Ambassador Sun hoped that both media outlets would continue to cover news about China and China-Ghana relations objectively and justly. The Embassy will, as always, support the capacity building of Daily Graphic and The Ghanaian Times as well as promote more exchanges and cooperation between the media outlets of the two countries.

Both Mr. Tetteh and Mr. Agbenu appreciated the donation of Chinese Embassy, and expressed that China, as a true friend of Ghana, played an active role in Ghana’s transformation and industrialization, and brought tangible benefits to the Ghanaian people. Both newspapers attached great importance to cooperation with the Embassy and would continue to cover news about China and China-Ghana relations objectively and justly as well as strengthen exchanges with Chinese media.
