On 11th November 2016, at the invitation of CREO Media Adverts P. R. Company, Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong attended the recording of television program Food & Diplomacy.
Ambassador Sun introduced the Chinese traditional food culture and features, and explained the cooking method and good moral of a famous traditional Chinese dish called Royal Chrysanthemum Fish, for which the hostess and audiences were full of surprise and praise. During the interview, Ambassador Sun not only introduced China’s magnificent achievements and the important role in the international communities, but also talked about the update of China-Ghana relations as well as the fruitful achievements of bilateral cooperation, and predicted a bright prospect of China-Ghana relations. Ambassador Sun extended appreciation to the program organizer for proactively promoting Chinese traditional culture, and hoped that both sides can deepen mutual cognition between the two peoples through cultural exchanges, and jointly make contributions to China-Ghana traditional friendship.
The first season of Food & Diplomacy contains thirteen episodes, and in each episode, one envoy to Ghana is invited to introduce the food as well as foreign policy and philosophy of his or her country. This program will be aired before Spring Festival on Ghana’s second largest broadcasting television station Metro TV.
