Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong Paid Calls on the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana

On 8th May, 2017,Chinese Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Mdm. Sun Baohong paid calls respectively on Hon. Charles Owiredu and Hon. Mohammed Habbib Tijani, the new Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, and exchanged views on China-Ghana relations and bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Sun congratulated Hon. Owiredu and Hon. Tijani on their assumptions of office. Ambassador Sun said that China and Ghana relations enjoy a long-term steady development and fruitful achievements in various fields. The Chinese side is willing to work along with the new Ghanaian Government for intensifying all-round cooperation, solving problems encountered in bilateral cooperation properly, and bring the China-Ghana relations to a notch higher.

The two Deputy Ministers gave Ambassador Sun a warm welcome,and extended their gratitude to China’s long-term contributions to the development of Ghana. Hon. Owiredu said that China is among the most important countries, whose development experiences are worth learning for Ghana. The Ghanaian side hopes that the Chinese side could be more involved in the development process of Ghana, and play a more significant role in Ghana’s economic construction.

Hon. Tijani said that China is an ideal partner for helping Ghana’s development. The Chinese enterprises are welcomed to make investment in Ghana. The Ghanaian side wishes to strengthen the collaboration with the Chinese side for a better future of the overall bilateral cooperation and development.
