GENERAL CHINESE VISA INFORMATION

1.Categories Description of Visa

Description of Visa

F

Issued to those who intend to go to China for exchanges, visits, study tours and other activities.

L

Issued to those who intend to go to China as a tourist.

M

Issued to those who intend to go to China for commercial and trade activities.

Q1

Issued to those who are family members of Chinese citizens or of foreigners with Chinese permanent residence and intend to go to China for family reunion, or to those who intend to go to China for the purpose of foster care. The intended duration of stay in China exceeds 180 days.

"Family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-in-law. 

Q2

Issued to those who intend to visit their relatives who are Chinese citizens residing in China or foreigners with permanent residence in China. The intended duration of stay in China is no more than 180 days.

S1

Issued to those who intend to go to China to visit the foreigners working or studying in China to whom they are spouses, parents, sons or daughters under the age of 18 or parents-in-law, or to those who intend to go to China for other private affairs. The intended duration of stay in China exceeds 180 days.

S2

Issued to those who intend to visit their family members who are foreigners working or studying in China, or to those who intend to go to China for other private matters. The intended duration of stay in China is no more than 180 days.

"family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-in-law.

X1

Issued to those who intend to study in China for a period of more than 180 days.

X2

Issued to those who intend to study in China for a period of no more than 180 days.

Z

Issued to those who intend to work in China.

 

2.Working Hours

The Visa office is opened on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Visa application submission hours: 8:30-11:30,

Visa distribution hours: 14:30-16:30

 

3.Visa fee for Ghanaian Passport is 100 U.S.Dollars

Ordinary Visa takes 5 working days

Express Visa Service:3 working days for 25 U.S.Dollars express fee.

PS: All applicants should only pay visa fees and (or plus) express service charges with visa pay slip at the Ecobank, CASH ONLY.

5.Notice

a. The Chinese Embassy does not specify or delegate any visa application agent. All applicants are kindly requested to submit their visa applications in person instead of going through various travel agents, brokers or middlemen. Visa officers and visa assistants would interview the applicants when necessary. The applicants have the obligation to provide accurate and comprehensive personal information as required.

b. All applicants must ensure the information filled in the visa application form is complete, true and accurate, and submit genuine and true documentation accordingly. The visa officer reserves the right to refuse to accept the submission when there is a reasonable doubt on inaccuracy, incompleteness and forgery of the documentation. All applicants are legally responsible for the authenticity of the submitted document and bear all the consequences arising therefrom. Visa applicants providing forged documents or fake information will be denied and put on record.

c. According to international law and practice, any sovereign country has the right to decide whether to allow other foreigners into its country (border), in accordance with its domestic law, to issue a visa, the visa revocation or denial of visas have been issued. No SPECIFIC reasons shall be given for those who are denied.

d. The applicant may be repatriate if activities not in conformity with the visa type. Overstaying will constitute a violation of Chinese law.
